When I first met Jesse I was recovering from a knee injury. Jesse started me off with strength training and focused on building up my core strength .

After regular weight training I have even started running again over the last few months or so. Initially I was running for 10 or 20 minute intervals with frequent rest times. Until more recently where I have now increased my total distance up to 5 kms . This is definitely something I wouldn’t have been able to achieve alone.

I thought and believed I would never be able to live pain free again!

A specialist told me to think about physio intervention and later on a surgery. I was in a position where simply resting for a few weeks wasn’t helping. Luckily I hadn’t gone that far with a fantastic coach “Jesse”! Jesse helped me regain strength and mobility in the shoulder, all while being painfree.

 The most fascinating thing I learned from Jesse was the relationship between pain and tissue damage. Although I was getting burning shoulder pain whenever I tried to restart training, Jesse pointed out that my brain had been trained to set off a warning system whenever it felt any loading on the shoulder, I’ve had ongoing symptoms for such a long period that my brain is now starting to develop a memory of them.” Part of the training was teaching my central nervous system to realise that certain movements were safe! After years from thinking I would never live pain free again, I have achieved things that weren’t possible before! Thank you coach Jesse for your unwavering support and the inspiration you've provided.

I needed a trainer who would understand my limitations due to past injuries and recent surgery, but also assist in my rehabilitation and return to exercise. I knew that if I trained on my own I could risk further injury. I needed a trainer with the knowledge to plan appropriate training sessions and a person to monitor me.
